This week is National Volunteer Week, and it feels This week is National Volunteer Week, and it feels impossible to put into words just how much our volunteers mean to Elwood Life Saving Club! ❤️

Our club would not be the beautiful and welcoming community it is without every single person who gives up their time to volunteer!

From flipping sausages at the BBQ, selling merchandise, age managing our nippers and putting on a water safety rashie… to braving the early mornings with a tube, board or IRB, coaching teams, officiating at carnivals, and patrolling weekends to keep our community safe.

To the people hosing down IRBs and nipper boards after long days, tinkering with motors behind the scenes, putting out cans before patrol or training, delivering and instructing training courses, providing first aid, and the committee members quietly doing countless hours of work no one else sees — we see you, and we appreciate you!

No contribution is too small! Every hour given, every early morning, every helping hand, every act of kindness strengthens this club and the community around it!

Volunteering is so much more than giving your time. It creates connection, mentorship, opportunities, friendships, safety and belonging. It is what makes clubs like ours feel like home.

To every volunteer at Elwood Life Saving Club…Thankyou! Your dedication, passion and care do not go unnoticed, and our club simply would not be what it is without you.

Happy National Volunteer Week! 💙❤️🤍
Last weekend saw our IRB team head up to Anglesea Last weekend saw our IRB team head up to Anglesea for Round 3 of the Victorian IRB season!

Despite the challenging conditions, our team put in an incredible effort, making multiple finals and taking out 1st place in the Men’s Masters Mass Rescue 🥇🎉

IRB racing is a great opportunity for our members to keep their skills sharp over the off season while building teamwork, experience and having plenty of fun along the way! 💪

A massive Thankyou to all of the volunteer officials who make racing possible 🙌🙌 and to @angleseaslsc for having us!
